More than 95% of startups in India fail to raise investment. 50% of startups close shop by year 4. Given this alarming failure rate, entrepreneurs need to be highly competitive and only the best survive. The workshop is aimed to prepare entrepreneurs for this competitive eco-system, and to attract investment or get selected into an accelerator.
The workshop will help entrepreneurs understand the opportunities in the Indian eco-system, role of various support services, detailed analyses of their business plans and startup pitching sessions that will help entrepreneurs become attractive to investors. The workshop will be conducted at Karon Hotel in Lajpat Nagar-3.
The workshop is organized by FounderMates, an online platform that helps entrepreneurs seek business advice from mentors and experts. FounderMates has over 100 advisors and 200 entrepreneurs on the platform. It has been started by Nidhi Kapoor and Raunak Guha, who are MBAs from Imperial College London and have worked extensively in the UK startups.
VijayKumar NRR, the presenter at the workshop, and chief mentor at Kyron Global Accelerator says “Indian eco-system is complex and is evolving. Entrepreneurs need the right knowledge and guidance to do better”. Vijay’s vision is to help entrepreneurs create successful businesses. He has been actively studying various accelerator and investment models globally. He believes this will help him develop a more sustainable model for Indian startups. Prajakt Raut, Vice President at Indian Angel Network will be speaking at the event.
