Airtel’s 4G LTE Service prices cheaper than 3G and its about to Launch in Delhi and Mumbai

Airtel which has slashed its 4G LTE prices by 31% and is currently serving in Bangalore, Pune, Kolkata, Chandigarh, Mohali and Panchkula is about to enter Delhi in the coming month and will launch in Mumbai by the end of this year.

The prices of the 4G LTE service offered by Airtel is comparatively cheaper than the 3G service offered by other telecom operators and Airtel itself.

Airtel clearly wants to encourage more and more users to opt for 4G LTE service rather than 3G or 2G.

Airtel offers 2 kinds of 4G devices for customers to choose from. The Airtel 4G dongle brings high-speed wireless internet experience to the laptop, while the Airtel 4G CPE Router offers a home WiFi solution wherein multiple devices, including 3G smartphones and 3G tablets, can access internet at 4G speed.

Airtel is expected to launch 4G services in Delhi circle by next month. The telco has inked a deal with Chinese gear maker Huawei to create and operate 4G LTE network in the region.

The company has acquired 49 per cent stake in US-based Qualcomm 4G wireless business services venture which holds Broadband Wireless Access (BWA) spectrum license for Delhi, Mumbai, Haryana and Kerala circles.

In 2010, Airtel won Broadband Wireless Access (BWA) license to offer high-speed Internet services in four telecom circles of Kolkata, Maharashtra, Punjab and Karnataka for Rs 3,314.36-crore.

Airtel’s rival Reliance Infocomm (erstwhile Infotel Broadband Services) has also succeeded in getting 20 Mhz BWA spectrum for Rs 12,847.71 with 20 Mhz slot.
