Six Steps to Maximize Samsung Galaxy S3’s battery life

A smart phone is the need of the hour at the moment for any given person. Games, Social media, Video, Music is all we need but it comes at a cost of your battery life. On any given day, a smartphone will have all the features but will get beaten by a regular phone on one aspect that is battery life.

That huge 4.8-inch Super AMOLED HD screen will give way if you play games, stream music and fiddle with your awesome applications at a regular basis. But thats what a smartphone is for. We at TheTechPanda give you six easy steps to keep your S3’s battery healthy and running.

Step 1:

POWER SAVING OPTION:

The Galaxy S3 comes with a built-in “Power saving” option. When enabled, it will reduce the CPU speed, lower the screen power, and change background colors throughout apps in order to save as much as power. To enable power saving, all you have to do is go to Settings and toggle the “Power saving” switch to on.

STEP 2:

REDUCE SCREEN BRIGHTNESS:

The default brightness setting on S3 looks mind-blowing, but its a big battery life killer if you are using your phone the whole day.

If you’re indoors, you don’t need a bright screen. You can change the brightness by going to Settings > Display > Brightness and adjust it to a comfortable level.

You can also take advantage of the “Automatic brightness” option so that your Galaxy S3 will automatically become brighter when you’re out in the sun.

STEP 3:

SCREEN TIME OUT:

Samsung has included another feature in the Galaxy S3, Screen Time out.

You can find the screen timeout option by going to Settings > Display > Screen timeout and adjusting the settings so that the screen will turn itself off after you’ve been inactive for a certain amount of time. 15-30 seconds is ideal.

STEP 4:

TURN OFF RADIO USAGE:

Radio usage such as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are enabled, they’re constantly scanning for devices. Turning this off is as easy as pulling down notification and turning the toggle off. Another way is to use Setting.

STEP 5:

TURN OFF VIBRATIONS:

If you are texting someone on and forth and your phones vibrates it consumes some power. Turn is off. You cannot afford to lose power so easily.

STEP 6:

USE BLACK BACKGROUNDS:

S3 has an AMOLED screen, we recommend you use a black wallpaper on your home screen. You must be wondering, Why? AMOLED screens can display the color black without having to actually light up any pixels to do it (they just stay off). This certainly saves  some juice.

So we have given you a bunch of tips on how to maximize your battery life. Using all of them at once would ruin the whole S3 experience. So instead, apply the tips that work best for you or for your current situation.
