Temple management software: Digitizing Indian temples

Technology gets quite some flak from critics even though it is slowly making its way through our social customs and cultural way of life. A recent temple management software company has started inviting applications for the free digitization of 10,800 Hindu temples within 100 days.

In India, visiting a temple might be the least digital activity we can do. Think twice. 3iology Technologies, a temple management software company backed by India Accelerator wants to provide free digitization of 10,800 Hindu temples in 100 days. The initiative is sponsored by several corporates and religious bodies to onboard qualifying temples all over India to 3iology’s software 3ioNetra at no cost for the first year.

Though technology has taken over the lead in almost every sector, temples still lag behind in systematic developments, finance and asset management.

Traditionalists have been reluctant to adopt and invest in technology to manage temple operations due to the high cost of deployment and hence 3ioNetra is offering a free subscription –based temple ERP and website with absolutely no cost to the temple

Deepak Nagpal, Managing Partner at India Accelerator

Deepak Nagpal, Managing Partner at India Accelerator said, “Inflow of donations in religious places has only increased for the upliftment of temple, its surroundings and feeding the underprivileged. Even when the donations are made in good faith, transparency and efficiency in management remain a major concern.

“3ioNetra, a portfolio startup of India Accelerator, is an integration of modern excellence and traditional insights which help transform today’s religious needs of institutions, trusts and individuals. Traditionalists have been reluctant to adopt and invest in technology to manage temple operations due to the high cost of deployment and hence 3ioNetra is offering a free subscription –based temple ERP and website with absolutely no cost to the temple,” he added.
