UTI Mutual Fund warns against fake app & WhatsApp scams

The UTI Mutual Fund has said that it has observed that some groups, individuals, handles and a mobile application impersonating UTI Mutual Fund (UTI MF) are soliciting bank transfers, mainly for transactions unrelated to mutual funds.

The group has identified the following links as fake mobile apps impersonating UTI AMC.

Condemning the acts of defrauding public, UTI AMC wished to dissociate from them.

“UTI AMC strongly condemn these acts of defrauding public and wish to inform the public that UTI Asset Management Company Limited (UTI AMC) and UTI MF are in no way associated with such fake groups, communication channels, or the fraudulent/fake app and any engagement with such groups, accounts, or handles is solely at the user’s risk. UTI MF/UTI AMC and/or its employees shall not be held liable for any loss suffered due to reliance on such fake communication, handles, or channels. The Company strongly advises public not to engage with these fake groups and to remain vigilant,” it said in a statement.
