WaterTech: 4 Startups Resolving Clean Drinking Water Issues in India

These water tech startups are trying to solve the clean water problem in India, one of the gravest today.

As World Water Day was on 22nd March, a day designated by the UN to take stock of global progress towards providing everyone with clean water for drinking and hygiene. However, India isn’t in a good position regarding clean water.

According to UNICEF India, less than 50% of the population in India has access to safely managed drinking water. With chemical contaminated water health is always at risk for waterborne diseases. In rural areas, people still have to go miles in search of water. Even after walking miles, they don’t get clean drinking water. It’s time to look for solutions as we already know the problems.
