Why world needs global investment more justly allocated: Horasis Global Meeting

India is a country of over a billion people, with a large range of cultural, social, and economic backgrounds. While the nation has made a number of improvements in recent years, with increasing access to education, healthcare, and technology, its challenges today’s can’t be denied.

In fact, approximately 60% of India’s nearly 1.3 billion people live on less than $3.10 a day, according to CNN.

On top of this, there is a lack of access to international capital.

According to Senida Mesi, Former Deputy Prime Minister of Albania, at Horasis Global Meeting in Gaziantep: “Low income countries constitute 9% of the world population, but they receive only 1% of global investment spending.”

“Meanwhile, high income countries make up less than 16% yet receive more than 50% of global investment.”

Co-hosted by the City of Gaziantep, Horasis Global Meeting is held in Türkiye this year over 22-23 October. The theme of the conference is how to have a positive impact on innovation, sustainability and reconstruction.
