NODWIN Gaming, South Asia’s leading esports company, opened registrations for its much-awaited tournament, Valorant Conquerors Championship (VCC) 2022, from today onwards. This mega event will give South Asian VALORANT players the chance to win a prize pool of US$30,000, which also includes a reward of US$1,500 for the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the tournament.
VCC also gives participating players an opportunity to qualify for the Asia Pacific (APAC) Challenger Playoffs Split 1. The winning team from there will then compete at the VCT 2022 Masters Split 1.
The championship follows the same format as its first edition that was held in June 2021. Qualifying teams from each sub-region will go through the VCC Playoffs to reach the grand finals and the top two South Asian teams will make their way to Split 1 Asia Pacific (APAC) Challenger Playoffs. The winner will then play at the VALORANT Champions Tour 2022 Masters Split 1.
“The first edition of VCC set the benchmark high in the South Asian VALORANT Circuit. Right from the tournament structure, prize pool, player skill level to the overall tournament hygiene, each element was lauded among the esports fraternity. With this edition, we have taken it a notch higher and aim to establish VCC as a strong regional tournament at the global level. The last edition had some amazing success stories, the noise is louder this time and we can expect nothing less. We are happy to associate with Riot Games again and are delighted that they share the same focus for South Asia as us,” said Akshat Rathee, MD & Co-Founder, NODWIN Gaming.
The tournament is being organised together with Riot Games, global leaders in game development and publishing. Since its launch, VCC has become the most awaited event among the South Asian VALORANT community.
“It’s been great partnering with NODWIN Gaming to give the esports ecosystem such a huge and popular IP like VCC. With this edition, we promise to provide the most thrilling gaming experience for our players, even as we foresee more participation, a larger audience viewership and intense competition as the stakes are much higher. May the best team win,” said Sukamal Pegu, Publishing Leader, India and South Asia, Riot Games.
