POP Partners with LazyPay to Launch POPchop, Bringing Flexible Pay-in-3 Payments to Gen Z Ahead of the Festive Season
POP, the fintech and commerce platform for Gen Z and young India, announced the launch of POPchop, a Pay-in-3 offering enabled through partnership with LazyPay. The offering allows eligible users to split purchases on POPshop into three payments over three months, while paying INR0 at checkout with no hidden charges. A majority of POP users are eligible for the offering, while around 40% of early POPchop users are accessing credit for the first time.

Bhargav Errangi, Founder of POP, said, “POPchop is our biggest product bet on how young India is changing the way it uses credit. For many consumers, the challenge is not necessarily affordability but managing the timing of purchases against monthly cash flow, and working with LazyPay has helped us bring this flexibility directly into the shopping journey, making it simpler for eligible users to spread their payments over time. Two in five of our early POPchop users are accessing credit for the first time, which makes transparency and responsible usage especially important. By bringing flexible credit into a platform where young consumers already pay, earn rewards and shop, we want to give them greater control over how they manage their money.”
Ankit Nahata, Business Head, LazyPay, said, “Young consumers are increasingly looking for financial products that offer flexibility and transparency while fitting naturally into their everyday shopping journeys. Our partnership with POP brings together POP’s strong engagement among digitally native consumers with LazyPay’s experience in delivering convenient, digital credit solutions. By enabling Pay-in-3 within POPshop, we are making flexible credit more seamlessly accessible at the point of purchase, while maintaining a focus on responsible usage and transparency. This partnership reflects our broader effort to build digital credit solutions that are relevant to the evolving needs of India’s consumers.”
FEATURES
- Flexible Pay-in-3: Eligible users can split POPshop purchases into 3 payments over 3 months, with INR0 upfront at checkout.
- First-time credit users: Around 40% of early POPchop users are accessing credit for the first time.
- Early adoption: Nearly 20% of POPshop orders were placed through POPchop during the limited rollout, with 60% of users returning to shop the following month.
- Festive shopping: The launch comes ahead of the October–December festive season, giving young consumers more flexibility to manage higher-value purchases and monthly cash flows.

EVERQ Launches “So Dermatic!”, an Original Microdrama IP that Turns Everyday Skincare Chaos into Entertainment
EVERQ, the personalised skin health platform from Puresta, launched “So Dermatic!”, an original 12-episode microdrama IP that brings everyday skincare chaos into the world of entertainment.

Hitaysh Dhingraa, Co-Founder & CEO, Puresta, said, “Skincare has moved beyond the traditional beauty aisle. People discover, discuss and debate it through reels, creators, search, AI, family advice and entertainment. We wanted EVERQ to participate in that behaviour rather than simply advertise into it. With ‘So Dermatic!’, we are creating entertainment around the conversations people are already having about their skin. The idea is to make dermatologist-led skincare more relatable and culturally relevant, while building a brand property that can grow over time.”
FEATURES
- Set inside an EVERQ dermatology clinic, “So Dermatic!” takes familiar Indian skincare behaviours, beliefs and anxieties and turns them into short, humorous slice-of-life episodes through character led storytelling.
- From home remedies and social-media hacks to late-night Google searches, AI-generated advice, filters and the belief that drinking more water can solve every skin problem, the series draws from situations audiences are likely to recognise.
- At the heart of the IP is a recurring cast comprising a calm and knowledgeable dermatologist, a friendly receptionist, an enthusiastic Gen Z intern and a sharp-tongued cleaning lady.
- The characters create a consistent clinic universe where dramatic patients, internet wisdom, family advice and everyday skincare confusion come together.
PayNearby Enables Third-Party Cash Deposit on AePS into Beneficiary Bank Accounts at Nearby Retail Stores
Bharat’s assisted banking ecosystem is moving beyond cash withdrawal to enable inclusive banking at the last mile. PayNearby, Bharat’s branchless banking and digital financial services network, has enabled Third-Party Cash Deposit on Aadhaar Enabled Payment System (AePS), allowing customers to deposit cash directly into a beneficiary’s bank account through nearby AePS-enabled banking points.
Anand Kumar Bajaj, Founder, MD & CEO, PayNearby, said, “Cash continues to be an important part of everyday financial activity across Bharat, even as digital adoption grows. Third-Party Cash Deposit on AePS brings another essential banking service closer to the customer by enabling cash to be deposited directly into a beneficiary’s bank account through a trusted local touchpoint.”
He added, “The evolution of AePS from cash withdrawal to a broader cash-in and cash-out ecosystem strengthens the relevance of assisted banking at the last mile. Our focus remains on making formal financial services simpler, more accessible and more useful for customers in the communities we serve.”
FEATURES
- Introduced as part of the NPCI-led rollout at Global Fintech Fest 2026, the new use case expands the role of AePS by adding an interoperable cash deposit journey to the assisted banking ecosystem.
- It is particularly relevant for customers who continue to transact in cash and depend on nearby assisted service points for access to formal banking services.
- Under the service, a customer can visit an enabled AePS touchpoint, complete Aadhaar-based authentication and initiate a cash deposit into a beneficiary’s account with a participating bank.
- Beneficiary account validation is built into the transaction journey before the deposit is processed, helping improve accuracy and confidence for the customer.
- The addition of Third-Party Cash Deposit strengthens the role of neighbourhood banking touchpoints by enabling customers to move physical cash directly into the formal banking system without having to visit a bank branch.
- The use case is particularly relevant across semi-urban and rural markets, where assisted banking continues to play an important role in everyday financial transactions.
