Global Entrepreneurship Week(GEW) is the world’s largest celebration of the innovators and job creators who launch startups that bring ideas to life, drive economic growth and expand human welfare.

During one week each November, GEW inspires people everywhere through local, national and global activities designed to help them explore their potential as self-starters and innovators.

eChai, a part of Point10 Ventures is Gujarat’s premier community of young entrepreneurs. Every month over 1000+ entrepreneurs participate in a certain eChai programs. eChai promotes entrepreneurial culture among youth through entrepreneurial programs, skill-based challenges and web television. eChai is being supported by a huge entrepreneurial community in Gujarat.

Along with eChai, Point10 also conducts Campfire trips organized in Dangs Forests which promotes rural tourism and helps travelers discover the rural Gujarat and manages Sweetly, which sells handmade jewellery at wholesale price. Sweetly creates jobs for rural women in Dangs District by enabling them to make beautiful handmade jewellery and markets these products globally through Web store, Community events and Sweetly partners.

GEWINDIAPoint10 has organized #eChaiFest with lot of exciting conferences as part of GEW 2013. While eChai Campfires and eChai Women in Tech have completed with major participation and lot of exciting discussions earlier this week, below are the activities coming up – starting today 21st Nov until this Saturday 23rd November 2013. All the events are free and will provide immense value to the participants. Check them out!

 

Thursday   21st November  Vriksha – Growing Global Women Entrepreneurs  10:30 AM to 12:30 PM

eChai, CII-Young Indians ( Yi ) Ahmedabad Chapter, CEPT University and Ahmedabad Global Shapers community are hosting the very interesting program focused on encouraging women entrepreneurship with today’s global perspective with four women entrepreneurs from Global Shapers community presenting their work and it’s potential global impact.

Noted women entrepreneurs Kanan Dhru(RFGI India), Aditi Gupta(Menstrupedia), Anushree Poddar(Poddar Designs), Wricha Johari(World Around You) and Nidhi Wadhwa Desai(Fit For Life) would be speaking at the event, followed by a panel discussion on encouraging women entrepreneurship.

Friday 22nd November RuralNxt – The Business Ideas for Rural India 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM

Jointly organized with CII-Young Indians ( Yi ) Ahmedabad Chapter, interesting discussions will happen around business ideas that will help make Rural India’s lives easier.

Saturday 23rd November Ahmedabad Incubators Tour  9:30 AM to 1:00 PM

Ahmedabad boasts of having multiple incubation centres in India. Jointly organized with GBG Ahmedabad, this will be a planned tour where participants will get a chance to visit the centres, get great interaction and have their queries addressed.

Saturday 23rd November eChai RoundTable – Unconventional Businesses  4 PM to 7 PM

This is very interesting program where traditional business owners who are more often not considered as entrepreneurs ( i.e. Chai Kitli owner, Vada Pav Stall owner, Garage Owner, Tiffin Service provider, Laundry Owner etc. ) come share and interact with entrepreneurs about different aspects of their businesses – customer insights, product development, marketing strategy, supply chain, growth plant and others.

Saturday 23rd November eChai After Hours   Over Night Event, Saturday 10 PM – Sunday 6AM

eChai After Hours, a full night program aims to engage entrepreneurs, professionals and students to find solutions for other’s businesses challenges in a collaborative way. At eChai After Hours entrepreneurs present their business model, their work culture and couple of significant challenges they are facing / struggling with or want to have people come up with better solutions for that. It can be anything – design challenge, business challenge, tech challenge, people challenge. Then rest of the participants present their ideas/solutions for the specific challenges mentioned by entrepreneurs.
