Shipping: SHM Shipcare Signs MoU with Medhavi Skills University to Strengthen Maritime Skill Development

SHM Shipcare Private Limited (“SHM Shipcare”), an integrated maritime company engaged in shipbuilding, ship repair, ship management, and maritime safety solutions, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Medhavi Skills University, and officially affiliated SHM Academy to strengthen skill development in India’s maritime sector.

Drones: From Dharavi’s Potters to Counter-Drone AI, Groww Foundation Backs 35 Young Innovators at IIT Bombay

Groww Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Groww, announced the first cohort of the INV.ENT program, backing 19 ideas by 35 young innovators at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay). Chosen from nearly 400 submissions across disciplines, the winning ideas range across a marketplace that takes ceramics from Dharavi’s potters to customers, a wearable sleeve that coaches physiotherapy patients through their exercises, a platform that turns CO2 into edible protein and an AI system built to guard critical infrastructure against rogue drones.

“At Groww Foundation, our mission since day zero has been to empower India’s youth with opportunities to learn, build and innovate. INV.ENT is a program born out of that belief,” said Kalpana Swaminathan, Head of Groww Foundation. “We see this as a launchpad, the place where young innovators get the mentorship, financial support and trust to take their first real shot, long before the world is watching. HealthTech: Hinduja Foundation Announces 2026 Scholarship in Healthcare Innovation in Partnership with King’s College London

Hinduja Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the Hinduja Group, has announced scholarships 2026 for Indian origin students to pursue the MSc in MedTech Innovation & Entrepreneurship at King’s College London. In 2024, the Hinduja Foundation UK made a significant philanthropic donation to world renowned King’s College London to establish the Hinduja King’s Health Partners’ Academy. This groundbreaking partnership includes support for  full four-year PhD studentships in healthcare technologies at the School of Biomedical Engineering and Imaging Sciences and one year MSc. MedTech Innovation and Entrepreneurship will benefit healthcare communities in both the UK and India. Furthermore, the partnership has brought nurses’ training, observer ships and online leadership training courses provided by Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust to the P.D. Hinduja Hospital, Mumbai.

The National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) and Higher Education Department, Government of Karnataka have collaborated to launch the ‘Student Skilling Program’ aiming to equip the youth of Karnataka with industry-relevant skills in the securities market. The Student Skilling Program enhances their financial knowledge and employability skills in the securities market. This Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) marks a significant leap towards empowering the youth of the state of Karnataka.
