In the last 10 years, data driven businesses have scaled exponentially. As the world becomes more competitive and dynamic, every business is becoming more data centric to stay ahead of the competition. That’s why there are several options and tools to manage big data, analytics, AI, etc., but ultimately all these businesses are driven by individuals.
We are dealing with a deluge of information or as some people say death by data. And too much information can end up being counterproductive if not handled in a better way.
SocioRAC aims to generate 2.5 billion man-hours of additional productive time by 2025 thus leveraging digital technology to help enterprises to manage their digital data overload. Based in Vadodara, the company is building tech products and solutions catering to enterprises that plan to increase productivity, manage businesses, increase collaboration, save money and time.
The startup has built a tech product, HyLyt, which unifies information management and business collaboration on a single platform.
The Tech Panda spoke to Rajat Singhania, Founder of SocioRAC, who says that while digitalization has solved several problems bringing opportunities for businesses, it has simultaneously created the problem of too much information.

“When a business, whose prime work is not to manage information but to manage the business, spends a significant portion of the time managing information, at some point, it will become counterproductive,” adds the SRCC alumnus.
After all, there is no finiteness to the amount of daily information that an individual encounters.
“Individuals also need to be on top of all the data at their disposal to be able to add the best possible value and take the best possible decision so that the businesses are able to properly leverage all this information and grow in the best way possible. That´s what we are doing with Hylyt,” he says.
Hylyt is a ‘Digital India Initiative’ developed by SocioRAC that helps in effective management by allotting productive hours for handling multiple tasks on a priority basis. It´s also a mobile first environment to manage data for personal and business needs.
One can save tasks using its instant note taking feature. One can save and send messages using any social media app on the device. It´s available in mobile and desktop versions. While the personal version is free, the business version is charged at INR 4000 per user.

Hylyt provides a one, two, or three click option to port and pull data from any place onto it, so that there is no dependency on going to different places for information.
Secondly, anything that can be done on another platform can be done on Hylyt, for example, note taking, reminder platform, calendars, video conferencing, and cloud storage.
At the same time, the platform doesn’t displace any category but adds value to it by unifying it together. So, all different formats of information can coexist on the platform, which means whether it’s a text note, a reminder calendar, chat conversation, different file formats, they can all coexist on Hylyt without the need to go to different platforms for different formats of information.
Also, each piece of information can be connected to multiple other pieces of information, which are not necessarily in the same folder. For example, the user can link a chat conversation with a text note, which could be minutes of meeting or a point of discussion.
All this information can be interconnected by a single thread, which are called meta-tags in technical terms.

Advanced Search Query
Saving and finding information takes up a long time. It has been found that every business on an average loses 25% of its productive time because of time spent in saving, searching, organizing, and managing information. A big part of the time wastage, says Singhania, is trying to find information.

“Saving is one part of the story. Finding is a different ballgame altogether,” he says.
This is why, apart from the normal search algorithms and search phrases that every platform has, Hylyt has also added advanced search query. The platform has more than 14 different criteria, based on which the user can decide what information to look for. Even with hundreds of thousands of pieces of information saved on the app, the required information will pop up in less than three seconds.
The platform has also done significant work on data leakage control. No information is ever viewable outside the app on any media gallery or any download folder. Thus, even if somebody has access to a device, which happens with family at home or co-workers at office, they can´t access the information on Hylyt because of multilevel passwords.

Also, a sender of information can control how information flows by restricting recipients from forwarding and sharing any piece of information to anyone else.
Another grave problem the platform solves is the fact that people leaving an organization often take information with them. In a research, 67% of organizations surveyed were unsure that they could detect whether an ex-employee was still accessing corporate resources.
On Hylyt, the enterprise admin can instantly remotely remove all the information from any user´s account. Thus, the information can be given to a new employee remotely as well, without any gaps, ensuring complete continuity.
Ready and Live
Hylyt launched in March this year and have patents filed in India, the US, and Singapore, because of the unique creations in their product. The product is ready and live, and they are looking to launch it in various places.
During the pandemic, the platform gained more than 500 users although they were an unknown product. Singhania informs that they are in active conversations with almost half a dozen midsize organizations, which employ more than a thousand people each, who are looking to start using the product for more than a hundred users initially.
