gifteaseWe all love gifts and surprises. Be it an occasion or a festival, we often go out to find the perfect gifts for our loved ones. However, roaming around the market to find the perfect gift is quite tiresome. What we need is an online store that provides us wide varieties of gifts to choose from. is here to provide it!

About Giftease and the story behind it

Giftease is an e-commerce platform that provides 10,000+ pocket friendly gifts choices for the customer. Founded by Ashish Chandani and Vivek Mathur in May 2012, the startup aims to make gifting easy. It enables the customers to choose a delivery date, add a special message and cover the gift with an exquisite wrap. Also, Giftease provides relevant suggestions according to the budget, choice and occasion.

The Startup incorporated its operations in November 2012 as a Mall store in the Phoenix Market City, Pune. The website was launched in May 2013. Presently, 15,000+ customers visit the website daily with 150+ Shippings every day. Giftease focusses on its niche and the team does not aim to have everything for everyone. Thus, the Startup has identified the most frequently gifted categories and is building out a selective range. An in-house team of buyers provides useful insights relevant to its experiences.

Marketing Strategies, Competition and U.S.P.

As for marketing, Giftease relies on Online Advertising. It uses online tools such as Search Engine marketing, Search Engine Optimization and Social Media. The competition in the E-commerce zone is apparently high. Giftease differentiate itself by providing Fixed Date deliveries, exquisite gift wraps and Exchange choices. “How we deliver the experience of gifting is ultimately what will differentiate us from much larger, mass e-commerce players, and hence the passion to acquire new customers, and delight customers each time, is crucial.”, says  Ashish Chandani, founder and COO.

Funding, Challenges encountered and future plans.

Funded by an Individual Investor, Giftease doesn’t seek an additional finding for now. However, the Startup shall opt for additional funding if required, at the appropriate time. As for challenges, Vivek explains, “It has been a very exciting journey so far, with challenges & celebrations in equal measure. Of course, as a startup, one of our key challenges at this stage is to build a strong, customer-focused and talented team, which is committed and passionate about delivering delight to every customer. How we deliver the experience of gifting is ultimately what will differentiate us from much larger, mass e-commerce players, and hence the passion to acquire new customers, and delight customers each time, is crucial.”

He further adds, “We are investing across the business- in technology to improve the customer experience, in marketing, to build awareness & trial for; adding to our range, streamlining operations etc., and we hope that these shall enable us to become the choice for sending a gift to anyone, anytime.”
